This one is not easy for me because our Christmas Eves change from year to year. I don’t think we really have traditions that remain from year-to-year.
Except putting out milk and cookies for Santa! Yes, we do it every year! When my daughter was younger, it was something that she enjoyed doing. She still likes doing it for fun, and my mom just informed me she has that special plate and mug for Santa.
Do we believe in Santa? Well, I will always have fun believing in Santa. I mean, let’s have something magical, okay? And if you need some convincing, go watch The Night They Saved Christmas or The Santa Clause or even The Christmas Chronicles. You might just become a believer!!

“I love this question! My favorite Christmas Eve tradition is gathering with family to share a special meal and then cozying up for a night of holiday movies. 🎄✨ It really sets the tone for Christmas Day and creates such warm memories. I’d love to hear about everyone else’s traditions—what makes your Christmas Eve special?”

I’ve always enjoyed baking cookies and setting them out for Santa.

When my daughter was small , I would sprinkle the reindeer food outside. I would always have cookies , milk and carrots. There would always be a letter waiting in the morning from Santa. 😉

Attending ‘Open Houses’ – my in-laws always host an Open House. It was a great chance for my kids to see their cousins. My sister-in-law has a large extended family and it was always nice to visit with them. After that, we would go to our dear friends who also host an Open House. Same deal – lots of cheer, food, laughter. When the kids were little, on the way out, my friend would give them ‘reindeer’ food. My kids would sprinkle the food over our front lawn so Santa’s reindeers would also get a treat! Nice memories. But this year – everyone celebrated respectively in their own homes.
