Blogging Challenge Day #25: “Christmas Acrostic”

Today I am featuring my very own Christmas acrostic! And it’s all based on gratitude. Here we go.

Pinto, another of our cats

C is for cats. I love our cats in this house. We only have six, but at one point, we had nineteen! Yes, we rescued feral cats and got them all “fixed” eventually. But it was not an easy process, but so rewarding. I love my Junior. We miss my daughter’s Dusty, who had to be put down this summer.

H is for heat. I am so glad we have a fireplace and a heater. The temperatures have been cold the past few days, and I’m grateful that we can keep warm.

R is for Ruth of the Bible. Yes, I was named after her, but her example, as noted in the Bible, always speaks to me. I am grateful to have women in the Bible who are strong and beautiful while being obedient to God.

I is for ice. In the summer, there is nothing like adding ice to a drink to make it cold. I loved iced coffees. But ice can help out in cooking or when using the InstaPot to make hard-boiled eggs! Ice water works wonders.

S is for steps. I mean this literally and figuratively. While steps can be exhausting, at least this means there are different levels in this world. And without steps, we would never be able to get to the second floor or achieve our goals and dreams.

T is for technology. I would not have a job right now without technology. And without this necessary thing in our world, we would all feel less connected, especially during this time.

M is for moments. I am so grateful for moments in time that we can pull up in our memories and relive. I am also thankful that we can visualize moments in the future that will light us up—nothing like special moments in this life, especially during the holidays.

A is for apples. Aren’t they one of the perfect foods in this world? Yes!!!

S is for salvation. I am glad I know where I’m going at the end of this life. I am ecstatic that God has saved me!
