If there’s one area where much of my focus goes, it’s my abs! I’ve not ever been delighted with the way my core looks, but in the past few months, I must say that there’s been a vast improvement. My stomach is much flatter than it once was. And in time, I do believe that will only improve.

This month, I have participated in a fitness challenge where I do so many crunches a day. I’m up to 125 so far. We have some rest periods, but I must say this challenge has been a good one for me!

I love pilates, and I enjoy core work because it helps my sciatic. However, I do notice that this crunch challenge has cause pain in areas of my abdomen I didn’t know existed! Thank God for foam rollers!

Over the past few years, my sciatic is no longer causing me pain because I have focused on strengthening my core. When I got pregnant with my daughter, it did a number on my sciatic, and I struggled with intense pain during my pregnancy and after. Thankfully, that pain is a thing of the past, and the only time I feel my sciatic is when I am doing core work!
