The cool thing about blogging challenges is that you can adjust them to your needs, and that is precisely what I’m doing.
I was one who NEVER believed in morning routines. I have done my Bible study, prayer, exercise, and everything else in the evening throughout my life. In fact, the mornings were the best times to “waste time” watching the news, scrolling social media, etc.
Last year, thanks to Paul Greene and Kate Austin, that changed. I had just completed an online course with them, and the one thing I hadn’t tried yet was implementing a morning routine. Well, Paul challenged me to do it, and my entire life changed forever! My morning routine may be like no one else’s, but here is a basic rundown.
By 6 AM, I am up. I do a very quick run-down of anything pressing for the day that I need to know. I start a fire in the fireplace if it’s cold. I have a glass of water. I make sure our cats are fed. I check in with my mom. Some days, this happens much earlier.
By 6:30/6:45 AM, I am rebounding. I now rebound at least thirty minutes–usually thirty-five or more. While rebounding, I pray, watch inspirational videos, and visualize my day. It is typically a challenge to get out on the rebounder, but it is a non-negotiable!
By 7:30 AM at the latest, I have my sixteen ounces of celery juice. I then select my second ten-minute workout–strength training is my typical choice. Once in a while, it’s fifteen minutes long. I also have my fitness challenge for the month–it’s been crunches this month.
By 8 AM at the latest, I have my water with apple cider vinegar, and I empty the dishwasher. I get things set up for breakfast, and off to the shower I go. I end my showers with a ninety-second cold shower (non-negotiable!) I wipe down the shower, and by 9 AM, I’m off to my favorite part of my morning routine.
I love breakfast! I have my coffee. I have a healthy breakfast, and I sit down with my Glorify App to have my quiet time. My brother and I discuss the devotional every day. I typically do another devotional on top of that one.
By 9:30/10:00 AM, I am getting dressed, and I am off to start my day.
Notice what I DO NOT DO! No news! I might glance at Apple News, but that’s it.
I encourage everyone to find a morning routine that works for them! It has revolutionized my life.

Every morning the first thing l do is lie in bed and say three things l am most grateful for at the moment my list could go on forever. Than l have my epileptic medication with water. Than l am craving my celery juice. I am not a breakfast person and l write in my journal sometimes ending with some flow writing. I used to rebound of an evening but l find if l do it if a morning l am more energetic. Than the organising of the day begins. Lol l love my mirror routine and it’s usually done by midday and l always have a giggle 🤭
