Welcome back to week two of my review of Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. I know some people might wonder why I would choose to review a book like this and even consider a program like this. Thankfully, I don’t do diets any longer, and I really never tried too many, when I come to think of it. But I have to admit that any book that tells me I am allowed to eat after 7 PM already is appealing to me! From my experience with this book so far, I am already thoroughly enraptured with the idea that I have so much freedom! The plan that the author lays out in the beginning is so versatile that anyone can adapt it to their needs.

If you’re not convinced, I invite you to take a look at this quote from Always Eat After 7 PM:

“Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary, but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.”

I definitely agree with this statement. I sometimes think that those who create these diets take great pleasure in making the requirements stringent and difficult, almost as if they are setting you up to fail so that you never learn the secret of losing weight permanently and that you’ll be stuck forking out money for the rest of your life in the hopes that you might be able to lose that stubborn fat! But if you don’t change your lifestyle–a key element in this book–then you know it’s not gonna happen. Bestselling author, Joel Marion, is a fitness expert and nutritionist debunking the myths underlying traditional dieting and offers a simple, highly effective weight loss program.

In an interview with the author, he explained his focus even further.

Q: How long did it take for you to develop the diet?

A: It actually took several years of researching for me to discover the real science of eating late night. After a few years of tweaking and refining, I finally came up with a rapid fat loss solution that overcomes all the pitfalls of traditional diets.

Q: What was the most surprising discovery when you were researching scientific data for the diet?

A: That almost everything my college education and certifications taught me was NOT grounded in published scientific research.

Q: How difficult is the Always Eat After 7 PM plan to follow?

A: It’s not. And that’s exactly why I wrote the book. While any diet is never truly easy, it can be more enjoyable and much easier to adhere to when you understand how Always Eat After 7PM works because it caters to our bodies’ natural instincts.

Well, isn’t that a refreshing view from a healthy and fitness author? I would definitely say so!

Be sure to come back next week as I tell you even more about my experience with Always Eat After 7 PM, but until then, have a look at the author’s top tips in the following video:
