All That’s Hidden is a delightful story with intrigue, humor, and of course, romance. A perfect read for the beach or traveling on a plane. I fell in love with Sugar and Rupert!
-Lorence, singer/songwriterPet sitter turned entrepreneur, Jennifer Albright thinks she has it all: an expanding business, a new, blissful marriage to a very sexy husband, a dog named Rupert that people frequently think is a bear, and a parrot named Sugar that Jennifer’s pretty sure is psychic. But her idyllic life begins to unravel when a series of creepy incidents threatens to sabotage the launch of her doggie day care center, and the discovery of a hidden treasure thrusts her into the world of federal agents and international thievery. The chaos soon spills over onto her home life and Jennifer reluctantly begins to suspect that her seemingly perfect, unbelievably supportive husband is hiding something from her. There’s just so much that doesn’t add up.
Tech-mogul Ryan has found the love of his life in his adorable new bride, Jennifer. But trouble seems to follow her like a basset hound. When one strange twist of events offers Ryan an opportunity he feels he can’t pass up, he unknowingly launches himself down the road of suspicion and mistrust. But he’s got this covered. She doesn’t suspect a thing.
Guest Post By the Author (Dream Movie Cast)
I’m sure most authors have this question at the back of their minds. For me, my characters are almost real people. I see them in my head. In fact, when I write or even read for that matter, the words play a movie in my mind. I try to capture that in my writing – give the reader the movie version, but I try to leave the physical appearances relatively vague so the reader can picture their own dream cast. I have grown and developed these characters through three books. Catnapped, All That’s Hidden and the yet-to-be-released Flipn’ Out. I don’t think casting is just about appearance, but also who can be convincing in portraying the essence of the character. My idea of devastatingly handsome or girl-next-door sweet, but sexy, might not mesh with someone else’s. But anyway, here goes. This is how I see these people.
Ryan – Alex Pettyfer or Santiago Cabrera. It’s all about the abs, the blue eyes, the easy charm and the great smile. He gets noticed and has a commanding presence. Super smart, but generally does not flaunt it.
Jennifer – I have to admit this one was easy. I had this actress in mind from the moment of her conception. Sarah Shahi – petite, long dark hair and a good figure. She’s sweet, unassuming and far sexier that she thinks she is.
John Evans – Henry Cavill – rugged, ex-Navy Seal with a snappy wit. He’s a “rescue the damsel” kind of guy who would have been a knight in a previous life.
Darren Fox – Chris Evans – ex-military cop. Practical with a soft spot for dogs. He’d have climbed onto a horse next to John Evans in that other life.
Simon – The person in my head for this one was a young Danny de Vito. But my casting department has let me down. Can’t seem to find anyone who fits the limited height requirement and is of the right age (30s). So, I guess we need to put out an open casting call. Simon is a scene-stealer: ascerbic; says what he is thinking; means well, but it often doesn’t come off quite right. He has a heart of gold. This could be the break-out role for some lucky guy.
Lily – Alice Englert -Lily is shy, reedy thin, delicate on the outside, and tough and resilient on the inside.
FBI Special Agent Wyatt Browning – Patrick Wilson
FBI Special Agent Clinton Grandon – Tom Hardy
DHS Agent Alejandro Sanchez — John Leguizamo
DHS Agent Linda Manning – Isla Fisher
Sugar – any sulphur-crested cockatoo. I think they are all special.
Rupert – the biggest, goofiest Newfoundland you can find.
