Belinda's Benefit

I am so honored to be a part of the blogging community, and here is one of the reasons why.  One of my dear blogging friends has been suffering with a debilitating illness for quite some time.  My heart goes out to her, and she is an inspiration because no matter what, she keeps on going–even though she is basically bedridden.  Here’s the information about this special benefit, in her own words.

“Hello Sweet Friends, If you’ve read my recent updates… then you know I am trying to see a Specialist in NC who handles complex cases like mine. This is especially important now that we know my Odontiod is Retroflexed against my brain stem as well as Basilar Invagination and the possibility of Craniocervical Instability being a true reality in addition to the brain herniation caused from Chiari Malformation. I booked my appointment for Oct. 3 on faith as my insurance does not cover anything outside the state of GA. In an effort to raise some funds, I have pulled together over $405 Retail Value in products to raffle off. I am selling tickets for only $2 each with price breaks as follows:
1 for $2
3 for $5
7 for $10
16 for $20
50 for $50
If you would like to purchase a ticket, simply go to http://www.paypal.com/and send payment “as a friend” (since this is a donation and is non-profit) to: belinda.n.harrington@gmail.com. I will reply with your raffle #’s as soon as possible. Due to my intense pain, I do sleep odd hours… please don’t be surprised if it takes me a while to provide you with your raffle #. Raffle closes 6PM EST 8/10. Winner to be announced sometime thereafter. I thank you so much for prayerfully considering participating. It will be so helpful if you could share this photo with your friends please. A special thank you to a dear friend of mine for covering shipping fees to the winner!!! This means EVERY raffle ticket purchased will go towards my medical fund. God Bless! (Open to U.S. Residents Only).”

This wonderful friend of mine was the first person to send me money when my blog got deleted by google.  She inspired me to get my blog up and running again.  She has had a long battle, and she is doing all she can to cover the medical expenses.  Here is her link on facebook if you would like to check out more about her.

If you follow my blog, you will know that I don’t generally post something like this.  If you’re worried about your money not being used in the right way, I can honestly vouch for her.  When she was a blogger, companies worked with her, and her rating was amazingly good.  And just to prove how much I trust her, I’m that person who God asked to cover the shipping.  (I’m not saying that to “toot my horn.”  I’m only telling you so that you will realize I am not asking you to do anything that I wouldn’t be willing to do myself.)

If you have it within your heart, please give to her cause.  If nothing else, I know she would appreciate your prayers.
