Ultimate Blog Challenge Day 7: Pinterest Inspiration

I really wanted to embed this pin, but since pinterest has changed everything, I can’t figure out how to do it.  I wish they still had the easy way of embedding pins, but that’s how it goes, I guess.  So I will just upload the pin and link to it.  I might figure it out one day.

Anyway, I have been a collector of unicorns for a large part of my life.  I don’t know why, but I just like them.  And Greg Gutfeld from Fox News likes them, too.

I saw this over the weekend, and I just had to post it here.

I think that sums things up well, don’t you?

The first image reminds me of the early carved carousel horses – most of which have been removed from the parks that used to allow rides on them. Collectors pay top dollar for them, restore them, but don’t often display or share them. We used to have one of those rides here in the area. The horses were sold off to upgrade the park. Now it has plastic replacements. Run free unicorn!

I have collected unicorns all my life, too! I used to spend hours at the library researching and reading unicorn lore. Yep, as a junior high student I would ride my bike to the library a mile-and-a-half away during summer break just to find books to study. That was before the ability to put a hold on a book through the internet.

In fact, my one tattoo I have is of a unicorn. The artist shredded the drawing after doing my tattoo, so it is completely unique. I love it!

Unicorns, they have always fascinated me. We are all unicorns in our own might I feel.
