I had the privilege of reviewing this book, and it is quite an amazing book. One side of the book is for hot lunches, and the other deals with cold lunches. I would say that it is safe to say that lunches are usually about the most boring meals. And my daughter gets tired of having the same thing over and over again. Me, too!
I like the fact that this book has recipes that are relatively easy to make with ingredients you normally have on hand. They are appealing to kids, and I think you could even make some revisions so that it could be fun for potlucks and special dinners. What I will say is that I am not certain how functional this book would be for me. Would I really do it for my daughter? I might try it this week just to see, but I don’t think this would be something I would run to every day.
I like the fact that the author has also included a couple lists of easy-to-make soups, mayonnaise, and more. She also gives all needed templates and tells you what tools you would need. During the school year, I feel that this would be a nightmare. But for a Saturday lunch, it does make me think this might be a possibility.
