I was invited tonight to participate in a fun, little challenge, and I want to thank Night Owl Reviews for hosting this.  Join in, if you like!  If you don’t have a blog (or don’t have the time), respond to any or all of the questions in the comments.

1. What is a challenging thing that you deal with in every day life? My dad has some serious health issues and probably dementia or something like that.  He thinks he is perfectly fine and everyone else is wrong.  It makes things really tough because he treats me like I’m a little kid.  He doesn’t treat my mom, my daughter, nor me right, and God has to keep me sane during those times!

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?Well, I hope that my blog is making money and that I am still subbing to supplement my blog income.  This is where I really would like to dedicate my time.  Here’s hoping I’ll almost be out of debt by then!

3. Who has had a major impact on your life and why? Definitely my mother.  She instilled so many things within me including my work ethic, sense of right and wrong, and  the proper way to treat others.  She also took me to church faithfully, and I am sure that my faith is as strong as it is due to her help.

4. What’s one thing you wish you could change about your life?  I wish that I had more time to spend with God and those I love.

5. What was your dream job as a child? singer, author, and teacher

6. What was your favorite activity as a child?  Playing with my Barbie dolls–I created an entire world that allowed me to live out all my dreams!

7. Where is your faith with God? God strengthens me every day and helps me to grow in Him.  I am far from perfect, but I know I am closer to God now than I was ten years ago.

8. Name 1 thing that you enjoy cooking and share the recipe.  I love making strawberry pretzel salad: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/strawberry-pretzel-salad-recipe/index.html not identical to my recipe, but pretty close

9. What’s one thing you wish you had learned by the time you were 18?  to be a good driver–I had taken driver’s ed, but I didn’t get my license unless I had to at the age of 21.  It was tough–it took me 4 times to pass the test!

10. If you do one thing that you normally don’t do on a regular basis, what would it be? Travel the world!

11. What’s one chore you hate to do on a daily basis?  decluttering

12. If you had the money and could get your dream car, what would it be?  the Batmobile (why not?P

13. Name one book you can read over and over and it never gets old.  A Tale of Two Cities

14. What’s one movie you like to watch and it never gets old?  It’s a Wonderful Life

15. State a quote that you live by.  “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.  They shall mount up with wings as eagles.  They shall run and not be wear.  They shall walk and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:31

16. When’s the last time you’ve been to church and do you plan on going back and if so when? I go every Sunday, and I attend regularly.  In the summer, I also go Thursday nights.  I go to a Bible study on Friday nights, and I teach one on Saturday.

17. Do you diet daily and if so what kind of diet is it and what does it consist of?  I went on a diet about 8 years ago, and I have maintained my weight at 150 for many years now.  I eat low-calorie.

18. What’s the craziest thing you did as a teen?  On our choir trip, I allowed my friends to bring a guy into the hotel room (not unsupervised) and be suggestive while sitting in bed in my nightgown. Sounds bad, but it was a joke, more than anything.  You would have had to have been there.

19. What’s the world “friendship” mean to you and do you have true friends that you can count on no matter what?  A friend is someone who is always there for you and loves you no matter what.  My mom is my best friend.  I can’t say I have any others, but I have some that are starting to be like that.

20. Name 1 feature you like to have in a friend.  Loyalty.
