Blogging Challenge (Catch Up) January 25: Equipment

Let’s talk about my favorite kitchen equipment since I have focused heavily on exercise equipment in previous posts.

My favorite kitchen appliance is the instant pot! This item has revolutionized my cooking. It is the ONLY way to make boiled eggs. I can make the most delicious soups in very little time. In fact, we like soups now, and my mom and I never really cared much for them previously. Also, with relative ease, I can make a packaged meal for others in my household when I’m not home.

I also adore my air fryer! This is the only way to make foods that taste like they have been fried, but very little oil is used. I also roast vegetables and meat (when cooking for others in my family) in this beautiful appliance!

I also a few cast-iron skillets. Actually, my favorite kind is the small ones. I have four of those, which is perfect for making those one-dish meals that go in the oven. Not only do these significantly reduce the cooking time, but you can customize the meals for each of the people in your household!

Oh, and if you don’t have a juicer…I highly recommend getting one as soon as possible. We were able to get ours free. It is not top-of-the-line, but it does the job. We have fresh celery juice every morning, and what a difference it has made!

A Vitamix or other high-powered blender is great, too.

I have an instapot but have been afraid to use it after using it the one and only time as a pressure cooker! I really want to learn – soup sounds so good!
