When I began blogging, my focus was just to get people to follow me and read what I was writing. It seemed like an insurmountable task as I watched people follow me and comment. Getting any kind of comment virtually made my day.
Once I really began to focus on who I was as a blogger and truly understand my point of view, my focus shifted to a degree. I was amazed at how many people in the blogging community would help me in many amazing ways. They helped me find reviews, giveaways, and they would often make my day by leaving a relevant comment. I read horror stories about bloggers who didn’t follow through with what they said and demanded more from companies than what they should have. But I never actually met with or worked with those people. Without a doubt, I have been incredibly privileged to work with bloggers who are unbelievably wonderful!
This was really brought home to me when google deleted my blog in May. I can’t tell you how many people (even the “big-time” bloggers) cam alongside me and encouraged me. They worked hard to help me in any way they could. And I discovered later that word truly did spread concerning my blog. I would be explaining to an author or a blogger why something was late or not posted, and they had heard already about my site.
As I worked to get my new site (this one) up and running, bloggers contributed towards my site, and they did whatever they could to help me. They genuinely helped me, and every time I turn around, someone else is there to give me a helping hand.
In the most recent event of my life (the passing of my grandmother), I have been so blessed yet again. I have told my mother many times about the beauty and blessing of the blogging community. People I do not even know have expressed concern and sent condolences. The same thing happened when our dog was stolen, when my mom had pneumonia, and so much more! I don’t exactly know why it is that this community is the way it is, but I guess it does work both ways. I have given money on several occasions (and I am always thanked!) for several different causes.
I’m not sure what it is that sets this wonderful community apart, but I am so privileged to be a part of it. Oh, and this does extend to readers as well. I have gotten wonderful comments from readers and fans out there. So thank you to everyone who has enriched my life in unbelievable ways!

One of the best benefits of blogging for me has been the new visitors and readers that reach my blog, The comments and feedback has helped me connect to new people, potential associates, and clients.
