Blogging Challenge Day #6: “Tell Us About Your Favorite Christmas Ornament”

My favorite Christmas ornaments always have been homemade ones. My mom used to do a lot of crafting back in the day, and one of my favorite Christmas ornaments were her creations. She did some years ago that were made from toilet paper rolls.

She made these rather large dolls that looked like choir-singing ladies, and they always hung towards the bottom of our tree due to the weight and size of these ornaments. They have all been tossed at this point because, after a while, toilet paper rolls do get worn out, squashed, and ruined. I don’t have any pictures, but you can imagine what they look like. I always loved putting them towards the bottom of our tree. I even took them with me after I was married because I loved them so much. I used to hang them at the bottom of my tree as well till they wore out.

For something a bit fun, take a look at this site for more inspiration if you are interested in using all those toilet paper rolls that are leftover from when you stocked up on toilet paper during the pandemic. (You kept the toilet paper rolls, right??? No, I didn’t either, but I might think about this for next year for something fun!)
