This one was super easy, and it makes me think of a current Hallmark Christmas movie that premiered last weekend. Time For Us To Come Home For Christmas, starring Lacey Chabert and Stephen Huszar, has an innovative line where Stephen’s character asks Lacey’s character if she has read A Christmas Carol. She claims she has, and he says that most people think they have read the book because they have seen one of the movie adaptations. So Lacey finally admits she has not read the book.
Well, I read the book! I have read it more than once, as a matter of fact. I even adapted A Christmas Carol to a sixth grade musical back when I was a music teacher. I was not too fond of the version we were doing, so I did my own take of it and reasonably well followed the book.
I never tire of A Christmas Carol. I love the original book, and I adore the movie The Man Who Invented Christmas about creating this very book and Charles Dickens himself. I was one of those intriguing individuals who enjoyed reading the classical as a teenager, and I used to read Charles Dickens on my own!
My favorite movie adaptation is still George C. Scott’s version, but The Muppet Christmas Carol runs a close second. As long as the version has superb acting and basically follows the book, I enjoy it. I have even watched The Gospel According To Scrooge live in a couple of churches, and it is always interesting to see how they adapt it.
In my opinion, this book has stood the test of time!

My favorite Christmas book is A Christmas Carol. I never tire of reading it. My mom and I actually go to the theatre to see it live. This started as a tradition with my dad and has continued even tho he’s not here. The other all time favorite is Twas the Night Before Christmas. My dad used to read this every Christmas Eve
