My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

First of all, this IS a completely clean romance. There is not a single thing that is inappropriate in this book. While deceit is something that appears in relation to the two main characters, it is demonstrated through the way these characters interact and what ultimately happens that honesty is always the best policy. To be honest, the fact that these characters make real mistakes endears them to me all the more because there is no one on earth who hasn’t made an error in judgment at least once in their lives.

This book was an absolute delight to read! I savored the story in its entirety, and I was thoroughly charmed and entertained by both main characters. The author told a simple but relatable story. The fact that she added music into the mix was a delightful bonus for me since I am a musician and was a music teacher at one point in my life. Although I have never been on a cruise, the descriptions were enough to grant me a glimpse into this sort of vacation.

While this book may not seek to tell more than a story of romance filled with heart, I cannot complain about that! There are enough books out there that speak to social and political issues as well as women’s rights. This is not the focus of such a darling contemporary romance such as this. Caitlyn stands up for herself, finds a kindred spirit who believes in her, and while the ending is never in doubt, when I ended my brief respite with this novel, I felt just like I do when I watch a good Hallmark movie. Warm, fuzzy, and filled with hope for the days ahead.Thank you to this author who took the time to tell a story full of love, hope, and joy!
