Movies are great. They have the power to bring us courage, braveness, motivation and make us think about our emotions and life decisions. They are one of the biggest forms of art nowadays, and every single one of us has been moved by a certain type of movie we will remember for life. A good inspirational movie will strike right through your heart, teach you how and what it means to be a human being, inspire your mind, and let you know how worthy we all really are. Best motivational movies will always influence our lives; they will motivate us to see positivity even in our darkest times. However, there are so many movies out there that finding the best inspirational movies might seem like a rather hard thing to do. In the sea of underrated romantic comedies, dating movies, horrors and regular comedies, inspirational movies tend to be forgotten. 

If you wish to see and experience a powerful story, perseverance and lift up your spirits, here are the top 5 motivational/inspirational movies you certainly do not want to miss out on! 

1. Lady Bird

Lady Bird is one of the movies that will show you how it is to live the life of a teenager. Looking for freedom, struggling with financial issues and continuously trying to impress everyone around you are a daily part of life of this artistically-inclined girl who comes from California. Lady Bird (Christine) will surely make you able to relate to her and remind you of your own struggles at the time. This movie is a perfect definition of the complexity of becoming an adult, and Christine is a perfect character meant to show it all to you. Her relationships with people rise and fall, but there are certain ones that only strengthen and help her out. If you are looking for a movie that will speak of life as it is, Lady Bird is the perfect one to go ahead and see. 

2. 1/1 

If you are looking for a slightly different movie from what you are used to, 1/1 might be the one you will want to see. 1/1 is a movie filled with fueled ambition, tension, and cruelty of the modern time.  If you want to see how it is to be a twenty-year-old girl (Lissa) who does drugs, sex and learns how it is to lose it all in order to improve on her own – you must watch this movie. Upon getting pregnant, Lissa actually ends up looking at the bigger picture in her life; she matures and finally walks on the brighter path of her own life. 

3. Call Me by Your Name

If you are all about love, watching Call Me By Your Name will surely turn out to be a great experience for you. This beautiful movie is all about love; there is so much love in it that it might actually bring you to tears. If anything, this movie certainly deserves to be called one of the most inspiring movies out there. Call Me By Your Name will make you question your fear of getting hurt. It will help you realize how important it is to actually care and make you wonder of all the times your fear of getting hurt actually took great things away from you – ask yourself, was it really worth it?

4. The Madness of King George

Do you like history and drama altogether? If so, The Madness of King George will surely keep you captivated as you follow the story. The Madness of King George speaks of King George, the ruler of England at the time; it teaches you of the historical events as well as his madness that appears due to an illness doctors barely even knew about. He is doing very badly, to the point where his son, the Prince Regent, ends up ruling in his stead. 

5. Whiplash

Whiplash is one of those movies that will make you question the way you think of dreams, it will show you the real power of belief and help you motivate yourself to do all you ever wanted to do in life. This is the story of a talented, very confident drummer who tries very hard to become a master musician. On his journey, he faces many difficulties, but he just simply never gives up. Greatness is not something served before us; it is something we must work hard for. Whiplash is a movie that will show you how important it is to stick to your beliefs. The main character, Andrew, he went as far as making his own hands bleed in order to reach for his dreams.
