In today’s competitive market, the alliance of creativity, entrepreneurship, and freelance is the ultimate objective for just about anyone and a genuine recipe for success. While some see these three entities as far too difficult to combine on a grand scale, technology and marketing expertise ensure that anyone can be successful in the global market if they are willing to invest the time and strategy required.  Many creative directors who have sought to understand what is most effective in the advertising market nowadays, and  they find incredible success as a freelance creative directors.  This is proof that freelance entrepreneurship is something to which everyone can aspire and effectively accomplish.

When one chooses to go the route of freelance, it is imperative that customer needs and desires be put above all else. Additionally, if one’s customer joins with the company at hand, loyalty absolutely must be rewarded in some kind of tangible manner. Taking customers for granted is an antiquated and unprofitable policy that can no longer be tolerated in a market that caters to the consumer. It may be as simple as alerting customers to sales for repeat purchases or even enacting a rewards program. Indeed, whatever an entrepreneur needs to do to keep those customers is strongly encouraged. Moreover, creativity is something that should be emphasized and rewarded, along with solid business practices.

No matter the industry in which a freelance entrepreneur finds himself/herself, the principles remain the same.  Yet again, the loyalty of the customers speaks volumes. As a freelancer, dependence on word of mouth and positive experiences with satisfied customers is the best kind of advertisement for which one could hope. Technology does tend to make advertising to the masses easier and more cost-effective, but one should not be dismissive of the benefits of personal recommendations.

When one finally makes the decision to take the leap of faith and step out into the world of freelance, the most vital thing to remember is that it is up to the entrepreneur himself/herself to self-promote and do all in his/her power to ensure a positive experience, especially that first time. The old saying, “You only get one chance to make a first impression,” is something that holds true in every aspect of society. Even more so in today’s consumer-centric business market, positive first impressions are essential to ultimate success.
