I have fond memories of seeing Volkswagen Beetles as I was growing up although I never actually owned one. On this date in 1978, the very last German-made Volkswagen Beetle rolled off the assembly line in Emden, Germany.  Actually, as of 2003, this kind of car is no longer made.

Nahum 2:4 – The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.

We had a 1969 VW Beetle. I loved it..except when the windows fogged up because they didn’t have a defroster 🙂 My sweet husband liked it, too and we used it to carpool to work. He finally got tired of folding himself up to get in and out (he’s 6’3″), so we sold it. Since then we’ve had 2 New Beetles and I love driving it. I’ll probably always have one!
