Young Adult Faeries & Fantasy Giveaway Hop

January 8th to 15th

I am the first to admit that I am not a fantasy book fan. However, it would seem that as time has gone on, I have come to appreciate fantasy books, and I sometimes even enjoy them!

I thought I would ask my daughter what her favorite fantasy book was. I do love Cinder and Scarlet by Marissa Meyer (can hardly wait for Cress). For me, fantasy books are not the normal read for me, but my daughter prefers them. So her favorite? Harry Potter. Probably followed closely by the Owls of Ga’hoole series.

Because I have learned to enjoy and appreciate fantasy books (Marissa Meyer is one of my favorite authors), I am going to give away one book in this genre to an international reader (as long as Book Depository or Fishpond ships to them) $15 or under. Well, they normally are not my favorite but I do like some. My favorite genre is historical fiction, but Fantasy does have it’s moments. The Circle series by Ted Dekker is AMAZING!

I love fantasy books:) For a long time Harry Potter series have been my most favourite among them. Now I would name Game of Thrones series (though they are not YA reading:)))

I love fantasy books! I highly prefer them to realistic novels. The emotions and the stakes are always so much higher, making for a more intense read.

I love fantasy! And prefer it over most other genres (altho I read from just about every genre) YA and fantasy are my top picks. One of my favorite series’ in The Faerie Wars by Herbie Brennan (two thumbs up!)

I love fantasy- it is my preferred read Anything supernatural/paranormal tweaks my interest. My fave books have to be the Harry Potter series and Twilight series.

I absolutely love fantasy books! If you think about it, we have all been raised on fairy tales which are fantasies. Then my older brother got me into sci-fi/fantasy. Eventually I started reading paranormal too. All of these fall under the fantasy genre umbrella to me. It’s wonderful stretching your mind around a really creative book and plot:)
