Today’s feature was also news to me. In Australia, the Paddington tram depot in Brisbane, Australia was destroyed by fire on this date in 1962. This date is remembered as the beginning of the end of tram service in Brisbane, Australia. It was constructed in 1915, and this fire destroyed 65 trams. Although the cause of the fire has never been completely determined, the fire is believed to have been started in a storage area underneath the depot. This is not to be confused with Paddington in London (I was thinking of Paddington Bear.)
