But then between her and her one friend in Astley, Laila, they arrive at solution that could benefit Abby and the small county town. Who else’s lives will be affected and changed forever. Will the unwelcome arrivals in Astley destroy everything Abby and Laila have worked to achieve? What is the secret that will have all of Astley reeling?
After having lived most of her life in Sydney, she lived for a number of years in The Central West of NSW. This is the area where the fictional town of Astley in Streets on a Map, her latest novel, is set. Now she lives in a beautiful coastal town in NSW. From her house it is a short walk to the coastal lake that is home to pelicans, ducks, numerous fish and assorted water birds including a flock of black swans.
Since her mother taught her to read when she was four, she has always loved books and is rarely seen without a book in her hands. She is a fast reader. She reads at least two or three books a week, more if she can. If she is hooked on a book, she will read it straight though where possible. However, she will give up just as quickly if a book doesn’t grab her early on. There are too many good books in the world to worry about reading the ones she doesn’t want to read.
