Corset Chick 2

I had heard about these wonderful tops from Corset Chick, and I was so excited to get to try one out!  All that the company asked was that I give my honest review, and that is what I am sharing in this blog post!

If you are not familiar with Corset Chick, let me give you some information about the one I chose.

Green Forest Dryad Corset

Corset has steel busks closure on the front and laces on the back for a proper fit. It comes with matching G-string

Finish in green satin with black leaves design
•Fully adjustable criss cross ribbon laced back
•Mild sweetheart cut
•Black lace trim to soften the cleavage line
•15 1/2″ in length including lace trim (front of the corset)
•Cut shorter at the back for added comfort
•Sturdy row of metal clasps on the front of the corset
12 light-weight bones through-out

All of their corsets come in regular and plus sizes, and they tell you to make sure that you order based on your measurements, not your normal size.  For example, I normally wear a size medium, but I had to get a size XL so it would fit.  And I was very glad I did!
When the corset first arrived, I have to admit that I didn’t know how to put it on.  I know I should have figured it out, but I assumed the lace  went in front (completely wrong!).  The lace goes in back, and the steel closure is in front.  You have to adjust the lace in back for a correct fit.

I am one of those people who loves vintage and old-fashioned feminine outfits.  In fact, I was wearing those kinds of things even before it was cool.  I also don’t normally wear green, but it looked really good on me.  It made me feel extremely trim and nice-looking.  This corset did not budge once I got it on.  What I mean is that I could still breathe, but I didn’t have to continue to adjust it.  The steel closure stayed put (but it is a bit difficult to do up at first).  To demonstrate how easily I could move, my daughter had a minor medical emergency (a rock was embedded in her foot), and I was able to help her even while wearing this.  I paired it with a long black skirt, and the look was perfect.
Now since I was going to church, I wanted to make sure that I was decent.

You can see that I paired it with a little jacket, and the look was perfect!  I felt that all my problem areas were taken care of, and I had fantastic lines while wearing this.  I can hardly wait to wear this again, and I may just have to go back and buy some more!
So if you are looking for something that is truly slimming, vintage, and very stylish, check out the corset tops on Corset Chick.  And while you’re there, be sure to follow them on facebook and twitter for the latest deals and news!
