Yes, indeed, so many people have enjoyed these posts, that I figured I would show off my cats yet again. Yesterday was somewhat warm, and when that happens, our cats just love to lounge.
Let me give you a little back story on both of the cats featured. The cat in the first two pictures is named “Junior,” or “Stripey Junior.” I know it sounds like a masculine name, and it is. I thought she was male because she is so big, and she makes it clear she is in charge. She looks very much like her still-wild mom, and she has an attitude very similar. Thankfully, she can be picked up and honestly does not bite too much. She lords it over the other cats. She and I have very intelligent discussion. She often cracks me up because she and I can have quite a discussion. She insists on sitting on my lap and being petted in the way she wants to be. She tends to be a mean cat, but once in a while, she shows a tender side.
The second cat is Pinto. He is male, and we figured he was male. He is about the same age as junior but much smaller. He has suffered from several bouts of worms–he loves to eat mice. He used to take off for a day or so, but now he sticks pretty close to home. He expects to be constantly loved and petted, and he is the only cat who loves to be snuggled. If you give him a big hug, he is in heaven!
So enjoy!

We have so many cats–14. That is because I have tamed them, and we finally got them all fixed. That was no easy task. Probably my favorite cat is Bronze. He is yellow in color, and his personality is so sweet. He is still very independent, but he absolutely craves attention. He is the one who often gets the raw end of the deal from the other cats. He doesn’t generally fight back. He is too nice.
It’s interesting. We have three cats from one mother–Bronze, Pinto, and Callie. These three have fairly sweet personalities. That mother is no longer with us. Their mother gave birth to them about the same time that her mother gave birth to five cats–one of them was Junior. They are the “stranger” ones and not nearly as nice.

Lovely cats! You were explaining your cats’ names, and I was explaining my car’s name with yesterday’s blog post! Too funny. Junior is gorgeous, but I think I’d like Pinto better. I love the independence – the “not-neediness” – of cats, but prefer pets that can give and receive affection and don’t act like they’d evict me from my own house, if only they could figure out how the can opener works.

Indeed I agree with you. I love Pinto. Junior does tend to thrust herself on me. I didn’t mention my favorite cat–Bronze. I’ll hate to talk about him one of these days.
