Muay Thai is a popular martial arts sport that focuses on body conditioning. It has technique that has been specially designed to work on body fitness and strength. These are the two major elements required for fitness in the ring. The training regimes of Muay Thai focus on many aspects of combat sports. You will learn the techniques of body weight resistance workouts, running, rope jumping, abdominal exercises, weight training, kick boxing and more.

Muay Thai Training Camps in Thailand

If you travel on a holiday to Thailand, you will find the presence of several Muay Thai training camps in the region. People come here to lose weight and get body fitness. These camps have daily training schedules. They are dedicated to both men and women. The training covers training guidance on Thai pads, heavy bag, and sparring and focus mitts. There are many rounds of practice. Both men and women practice with their trainers. There are short rest periods of one to two minutes. The levels and the methods of training are different.

For getting the best of Muay Thai training, you should focus on the pad training technique. The body conditioning regime under Muay Thai involves the practicing of punches and kicks. The body parts used are elbows, knees and arms. The strikes and the kicks allow the fighters to react to the attack of the holder of the pad. The pads are made in such a manner to absorb the strikes of the attacker. The pads also help the fighter to react to the attacks of the holder of the pad. The trainee also wears belly pads to absorb the strikes against the stomach area. The fighting partner strikes you with kicks and punches to the body at any time.

With the aid of focus mitts, you can check and improve punch combinations, power, defense and counter-punching skills. You effectively are able to practice elbow strikes as well. For reinforcing the conditioning and training on the punch pads, heavy bag training is resorted to by the trainer. The trainee has to learn the skills of technique and strategy to improve.

Body fitness

With regular training and practice, the body fitness levels increase. The body becomes physically stronger. Muay Thai training camps in Thailand also focus on the mental alertness of the body such as Bestmuaythai . The regime is very strict and in the first few days training can be very grueling. The training schedule may be divided into two halves. The trainees have to practice very rigorously before they are given short body rests.

When you are looking for the ideal training camp for Muay Thai, you should take time and research well. The nature of the fees you pay can be either weekly or monthly. The camp will be a residential one and you are required to stay there till training ends. More and more men and women are opting for Muay Thai training camps for weight loss and body fitness in Thailand. No wonder they are popular and widely in demand today!

Muay thai is my all-time favorite form of exercise! It’s just so much fun to do, and even more fun to see yourself improve as a fighter. And to be clear, you don’t actually have to go to Thailand to do it 😉
