The Runaway Mail-Order Bride by Anne Glynn

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

From the first pages of this historical romance, I was hooked! This romance has everything the reader could desire from a historical English romance set in the Old West. The author created amazing characters, and I felt that I was able to completely connect with them. She even kept her readers in suspense concerning Lisa’s background. This was a quick read that never seemed vapid.

I do need to point out that there is an implied bedroom scene as well as some profanity. I could have done without some of that profanity, but it did not impede my enjoyment of the novel. The romance was never sappy (always a big plus for me), and the epilogue intrigued me enough to watch for book two! Though the romance is not 100 percent clean, readers of historical romances should thoroughly enjoy this sweet story filled with passion and danger.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Ruth, this means so much to me. You give balanced, intelligent reviews and I was so curious, wondering what you thought of my book. Would you mind if I quoted your site (and review) on Amazon?
