Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

immortal sleep Sleep is normally not a problem for me, but there are times that my sleep schedule gets off.  This especially true when speaking of my menstrual cycle.  When it is that time of month, I often struggle to sleep well.  Also, I am a substitute teacher, so I don’t usually have a schedule that is constant.

immortal sleep 2Immortal Sleep is an all-natural sleep aid that comes from the company immortal herbs.  Having worked  with this company before, I was ready to try out  this sample.  I was glad to discover that this sleep aid is in easy-to-swallow capsule form.  I didn’t spend much time looking at all the ingredients (since it is from a company I trust), but I did notice that the dosage seemed a little high.  It recommends taking three pills thirty minutes before bed.  I agree with taking it 30 minutes before bed, but I found that two pills worked as well as other natural sleep aids I have tried.  I was somewhat anxious to take three pills  in case it made me groggy.  I know it claims not to, but you never know.  One pill didn’t seem to work at all.  So for me, I plan to keep up the two pill dosage.  I do encourage you to try it out yourself.

So what are the ingredients?

L-theanine

Rehmannia Root (sheng di huang)

Poria (fu ling)

Polygala (yuan zhi)

Grassleaf Sweetflag (shi chang pu)

Biota Seed (bai zi ren)

Licorice Root (gan cao)

Platycodon (jie geng)

Codonopsis

Asparagus root (tian men dong)

Schizandra (wu wei zi)

Angelica Root (dang gui)

Scrophularia Root (xuan shen)

Zizyphus Seed (suan zao ren)

Salvia Root (dang shen)

Ophiopogon Root (mai men dong)

The Zizyphus Blend is the “magic ingredient in these pills. The Chinese have successfully used it for centuries for the treatment of sleeplessness, irritability, and the likes.  While I didn’t notice any specific differences between this product and other sleep aids I have tried, I can say that these were the easiest to swallow.  And I definitely woke feeling refreshed.
