This is the week to celebrate romance!  Celebrate Romance with Pure Flix Originals’ “Banking on Love” and “Christmas Angel.” This genre has 24 new-to-Pure Flix movies for the 2022 season, including the new romantic comedies “#Blessed” and “Christmas in Carolina” and the Pure Flix fan-favorite “Welcome to Hope: Holiday Homecoming.”

I chose to review the movie WELCOME TO HOPE: HOLIDAY HOMECOMING.

Summary: The residents of Hope, NY come to the aid of displaced foster children after St. Jerome’s Home for Children has a fire right before Christmas, and many families find the foster children complete their homes.

My thoughts: This is the perfect movie to put on when the family is decorating the tree or just sitting around enjoying a cozy night. I love the emphasis on foster children, and while the movie has a simple message, it is an easy, fun watch that everyone can enjoy. Furthermore, it will be the perfect vehicle to start a discussion about foster children with your kids. It is evident that many of the young actors may lack the experience one may see in a Disney blockbuster, but the hearts of these young people come through. Some of my favorite moments were the songs included in the film’s soundtrack. Moreover, with Pure Flix films like these, families know that nothing shocking or contrary to family values will appear on the screen.
