• CHURCH PEOPLE is now available on DVD & Digital!
• CHURCH PEOPLE is a Christian comedy about the megachurch megaproduction subculture and getting back to the simplicity of the Gospel, starring Christian comedian
Thor Ramsey, Hallmark Channel’s Erin Cahill, Stephen Baldwin, Donald Faison, and
NSYNC’s Joey Faton
• We could all use a good laugh right now, and Church People is a movie your whole
family can LOL to from the comfort of your own home!
• This film has a powerful message about rediscovering your passion for Christ and
learning to surrender what you hold dearest, all told in an incredibly humorous way
• Synopsis: Weary from the showiness and materialism that has overtaken his ministry
efforts, Guy (Ramsey) goes on a journey to get back in touch with the heart of ministry and be a real role model to his youth group kids. He makes the difficult decision to cut short his speaking tour managed by his money-focused agent (Faison) after realizing that his reputation has become more fame based than Gospel-driven.
But when Guy attempts to return to regular youth ministry, he is thrust into the
throes of dissuading the youth group from performing a strange and potentially
blasphemous stunt for the upcoming Easter service, starring a young, zealous new
Believer, Blaise. In attempting to manage his youth group while navigating an unexpected love interest in the Senior Pastor’s daughter (Cahill) and being a new father
to his grown daughter (Manfredi), Guy ultimately rediscovers and puts on a powerful
presentation of why we all need to put our hope in Jesus and not in ourselves.
My thoughts: First of all, I don’t know exactly what I was expecting, but the cast blew me away!! And not to sound like a name-dropper, but I recently met Erin Cahill (her role is absolutely the best and worth watching the entire film) and had a wonderful conversation with her. Seeing her in this film thrills me like nothing else!
I love the idea of this being a humorous Christian film that doesn’t take itself too seriously. The people are authentic and relatable. And Christians feel like they can laugh at the film and the situations! Furthermore, the production value of this film is so much fun. I can hardly wait to share this movie with my entire family!
Christian movies often get a “bad rap.” They are usually dramatic and unrealistic. They deal with serious issues, and they are afraid to poke fun at the ridiculousness of “church people.” I have never had a problem laughing at myself and even some of the inconsistencies that are seen in the church. This movie feels like something I can share with everyone and not feel like I’m trying to proselytize.
Or how about getting the chance to win your own copy? You have until February 18th to leave a comment about why you would like to watch this movie.

This movie sounds like one my husband and myself would both enjoy! First of all, a CLEAN movie AND a Christian movie with humor! Can it get any better, especially in the current condition of the world? Definitely one to watch!
