Welcome to day one of what I plan to do all month–a blogging/journal challenge. As a part of a month-long challenge I am hosting in a Facebook group, I decided to take things to the next level and actually blog the prompts instead of merely journaling.

When it comes to “favorites,” it is always a real struggle for me. I don’t pick favorites very easily, and they change regularly. However, there are those movies that signify Christmas to me. Instead of choosing one, I’m going to pick a few for fun.

My all-time favorite Christmas movie just has to be It’s A Wonderful Life. As a teenager, I remember watching it for the first time and absolutely loving it. James Stewart is incredible in every role in which I’ve had the opportunity to see him. I cannot believe that this movie was essentially a flop when it first was in theaters. Every time I watch it, I am enraptured by Clarence Osbody, AS2 as well!

My favorite Christmas musical has to be White Christmas. How can you not like Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Danny Kaye, and Vera-Ellen? I have the movie memorized for the most part. I love the dances, the songs, the story, the comedy, so much! This introduced me to the talents of all four of these individuals. I was a huge Danny Kaye fan back in the day. There is still no one who can deliver a comedic song like him.

My favorite Hallmark Christmas movie–oh, dear, I will manage to leave someone out. But I’ll name two of which I never seem to grow weary.

A Christmas Detour (starring my current employer Paul Greene and my recent dream interviewee Candace Cameron Bure)–I could watch this one so many times!

Oh, and Dashing Through the Snow with Andrew Walker and Megan Ohry! I never grow tired of watching this tale unfold and seeing so many of my friends on screen. I read the book before seeing the movie, and while it differs from the book in many ways, it is a beauty in its own right.

Oh, and an honorable mention would be Mr. Miracle. This one is a sleeper movie. I adore the Mrs. Miracle movies, but this one just cracks me up! I always wish there had been more to the book series and movie series.

In truth, Christmas movies, in general, are my favorites!

Christmas is the most magical time of the year, and I really love watching cozy and atmospheric Christmas movies. It is difficult to choose the favorite ones, but the ones that I remembered first are “exchange vacations” and all the parts of “home alone.” It has become popular to share your favorite movies, recipes, or books on social networks and me. I hope you have a Christmas mood this year.

For a classic, I love Christmas in Connecticut. For a contemporary, I love The Holiday and I love While You Were Sleeping.

I’ve been watching Hallmark movies for more than 15 years, and I have so many favorites. I really enjoy The Christmas Card and was lucky to meet and become friends with Joany Kane.

The Christmas movie that I watch over and over at all times of year is “For Christmas,” the Signed, Sealed, Delivered Christmas movie.
