Introduction

  • Are you planning to spend the upcoming holiday season alone because of work and other commitments?

  • Did you know that watching the right movies can help lift your mood levels and impart a certain level of positivity?

  • Have you been suffering from depression and are looking for some good signs to get back to normalcy?

Many people underestimate the impact of a good movie on someone’s life. For a very long time in history, human beings have used movies to escape from the monotony of their everyday lives. Whether it is to get over a bad break-up or reminiscence about losing a loved one, movies have some magical capabilities.

With the holiday season approaching and the negativity being spread by the pandemic, now would be a good time to take help from movies. In this article, we list the top five feel-good movies, which can help uplift your spirits during the upcoming Christmas holiday season.

Why it is essential to catch a good movie every once in a while?

Many health experts and scientists have pointed out that laughing by watching a movie can have great health advantages. It has been scientifically proven to boost your immunity, release oxytocin (mood-enhancement hormone) and uplift your spirits.

Not all of us can hit the gym or start working out three hours every day to start feeling positive. Human beings are different and respond in different ways to issues like grief, depression, or feeling under the weather. Doing something as simple as watching a well-rounded large-hearted rom-com can do wonders for most of us.

In the last few years, many therapists have come forward and have started to prescribe movies as a form of treatment to many of their patients. ‘Cinema Therapy’ is a real thing and suggesting movies based on your experiences is helping many patients for the better.
