Isaac can’t deny his attraction to the man’s charming niece, but his brother has made his intentions to court the lovely guest clear. And Isaac knows his place.
When tragedy strikes, mysteries arise, and items go missing, Julia and Isaac find they are pulled together in a swirl of strange circumstances, but despite their own best efforts to bow to social expectations, their hearts aren’t so keen to surrender.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.
First of all, while this is considered a Christian historical romance, I want to point out that the Christian message is sorely lacking. While it is squeaky clean with nothing offensive in it, the “Christian” part consists of going to church and a general belief in God. Yes, good morals are stressed, and those who are probably Christians follow their conscience. I know this was a different time in history when people were much more quiet about their faith, but that is honestly my only complaint with this book. I would have preferred more focus on the characters and their faith.
Other than this, the book is exactly what one would expect from a series such as this. A charming heroine, handsome gentlemen, and even a bit of mystery and intrigue on the side. While I have not read the first book in the series, I had no problem comprehending the story nor connecting with the characters. If you are looking for a clean Regency romance, this is exactly what you want. The descriptions are ideal, and the customs are extraordinarily recreated. I felt as though I was transported this time period. The author definitely has an excellent writing style that draws the reader in from the opening page and keeps his/her attention until the end.
