I seriously doubt that anyone within the Western world has not experienced some form of credit card debt. When those monthly credit card bills come, it can seem like there will never be a cessation of the seemingly insurmountable debt. However, with some ingenuity, solid advice, and a bit of creativity, you may be able to break away from that credit card debt once and for all.

Become a serious coupon clipper.

Many years ago, I was one who clipped coupons circumspectly. I sometimes saved as much as ten dollars in one shipping trip. Even with the changes in couponing today, there are still plenty of options to save money. Just this afternoon, I took ten minutes to load digital coupons to my account before shopping, and I got some incredible deals. If you were to save even five dollars a week, those savings would add up over time, and that extra money could be applied to your credit card debt.

Cut the cable TV.

With the propagation of streaming services galore, cutting the cord couldn’t be easier. As cable continues to increase, streaming services are becoming more accessible and cost-efficient. By choosing to give up cable, you can save fifty to a hundred dollars each month which can definitely put a serious dent in paying off that debt.

Consult the professionals like Derby Advisers.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with reaching out to the professionals for counsel and advice, especially if you owe several thousand dollars. Drowning in a sea of debt is not necessary, and most of the time, you don’t even need to consider bankruptcy. Professional advisors can help you consolidate your bills into one easy payment per month, or they may be able to help you budget your money or suggest other ways to aid you in the process of getting out of debt. I say if it is time to utilize the professionals, by all means, take advantage of the help and services they offer.

Stop your gym membership.

This is one of the best things I ever did. I paid for a gym membership for years without even realizing that I could work out more effectively (and cheaper) at home. I have searched around and tried out many forms of workout videos online, but by far, the best one I have found (and it’s free too) is Royal Change Fitness. If you really want to change things up, stop paying that monthly fee to go the gym and learn how to transform your body in the privacy of your own home.

Sell your car, or stop leasing your car.

Yes, you read that correctly. If you have a fancy, new car for which you are paying five hundred dollars a month and you don’t even own it yet, it’s time to sell it or terminate your lease as soon as possible. Then opt for a used car. There are plenty of reputable places all over where you can find a quality used car at an affordable price. (try CarMax). Imagine all the money you will save and be able to apply towards your credit card debts.
