Love Bubble Baths & Obsession Perfume (who knew!)

Cozy Mystery
Tigers Love Bubble Baths & Obsession Perfume by Mary K. Savarese
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated in any way and all opinions are 100 percent mine.
First of all, this is a cozy book without any gratuitous sex, violence, or anything offensive. There is some minimal profanities, but nothing that should offend the majority of people. In fact, a church is central to the story which is nice for a change.
Now, this book is unlike anything I have ever read. I thought it was a contemporary woman’s interest story. Then it seemed to move to a small-town story with some elements of comedy and romance. Before long, I felt like I was reading a mystery book. But in the end, I had no idea where to place this in terms of genre. This book has the distinction of being the most unusual book I have ever read. And guess what. I liked it!
For all its quirkiness, the story is a bit vague at times. I know the author did that purposefully, but there is a part of me that is still marveling at what I read. Even trying to decipher what I read. I’m not complaining, but I would have enjoyed the book even more than I did had it not been as singular as it was. Regardless, the author has written a fun, compelling tale that will inspire the reader to finish to the end no matter how that reader may ultimately rate his/her experience with the book. It definitely gets a solid four from me!
