Disclosure: I was sent a copy of each of these journals in exchange for my review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Recently, I had the opportunity to review some very special journals by Ellie Claire Art. Rarely have I seen such beautiful journals, and I would like to take an opportunity to share my thoughts about each one with you.

Bible journaling is something that I want to do on a more consistent basis, and sometimes finding the correct journal can be a struggle. Well, look no further! Check these out!

This first one, the “Faith & Lettering Journal” is absolutely gorgeous inside! My daughter, who is an incredible artist, and as she leafed through this, I could see the wheels turning inside her head. I’m not an overly artistic person, but even the beautiful lettering could inspire me to practice. But I tend to think I will let her use this one since the lettering is so fancy. However, I can do some coloring and I can try my hand at these–something I may do as I pursue my Bible journaling techniques especially into the new year.

This next one, “The Illustrated Word,” is truly like a step back into Medieval Times. The binding is gorgeous, and the insides pages are filled with beautiful lettering. It’s the perfect way to be inspired as you fill up the pages with your thoughts and ideas inspired by such amazing lettering! However, it is also a great way to learn the technique of illuminated lettering. I don’t know…my daughter might steal this one from me too!!

The third one I was sent was “Illuminate Your Story” Journal.  Again, such beautiful lettering throughout the pages. I was overwhelmed by just how “olde worlde” these journals appeared to be. I felt like I was in a Gothic cathedral at times looking at something that looked much older than they appear to be.

As for gifts, these would be the perfect additions to any Christmas list. They are so unique in the way they are constructed and presented. I have never in my life seen such gorgeous journals that would make anyone ecstatic with glee! I think the hardest thing is–which one do you want? Well, maybe you should just buy all three! They are the perfect gift for the artist on your list, no matter the age from pre-teens on up. Even should the person not end up writing in them, looking through them alone is an experience and maybe in time they will be inspired to do some journaling or practice some lettering on the pages.
