A Manual for Marco: Living, Learning, and Laughing With an Autistic Sibling by Shaila M. Abdullah
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
As a teacher, autism is something with which I am quite familiar. I have taken classes on how to deal with these students, but I’ll be honest that there was still much I didn’t know about this condition. Reading this children’s book gave me more insight into autism than I have seen. I realize this book was written for children, but sometimes children’s books, when written well, can be easier to understand than all the technical books written about autism. This is the ideal book to read with children of almost any age. In fact, it is perfect for families, schools, and even daycare centers. I recommend this book highly to anyone who wants a better understanding of autistic children in an easy-to-understand format.
I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Wow! What a great book! I love that it brings up the topic of an autistic sibling. This is also a great book for classrooms to read aloud.
