BurnIt was on this date in 2013 that terrible bushfires devastated Tasmania. The fires began on the 3rd, but this was when devastation was severe. It was determined that a record heat wave and extremely dry conditions contributed to this catastrophe. Thousands of people were evacuated, and new record temperatures were reached.
