My review:
I was fortunate enough to be amongst a select number of people who saw this before it officially came to the theater, and now I own the DVD. I could not be happier that I own this great film as it is a movie appropriate for all families and has some outstanding music and performances.
My mom and dad got to watch this DVD with me, and my dad actually stayed awake during it. Even more surprising, he followed the story. That in of itself should be a stirring testament to how good it is. My dad was never an Elvis fan, but this film piqued his interest. The family and Christian message are emphasized throughout without making you feel like you have been “preached at.” I was most impressed with the lead actor as this is his first film, and he was practically a natural.
