About the Film
Four orphaned and homeless siblings happen upon an abandoned boxcar, which with a little creativity and hard work, they gradually furnish with all the comforts of home. Fearful that they will be sent to live with the reputedly cruel grandfather they have never met, the children keep their new home a secret – until a serious illness forces them to reveal themselves in order to save young Violet.

I am happy to finally share with you my daughter’s and my review of the “Boxcar Children.” My daughter is 11 and entering the sixth grade. She said that this movie would be good for first and second graders, and it is somewhat like the book with a few minor variations. She found it entertaining, and I did, too. It is something that can get your kids interested in this book series, and you can rest assured that your children are watching something positive, uplifting, and clean. We highly recommend it.
