Did you know:
• 24 million children are growing up in homes without their biological fathers.
• Only 30% of divorces are due to infidelity, addiction or abuse, 70% of divorces are due to couples feeling disconnected.
• Couples who manage to devote time specifically to one another at least once a week are markedly more likely to enjoy high-quality relationships and lower divorce rates, compared to couples who do not devote as much couple time to one another.
• Fathers provide unique benefits to their daughters through their active and positive presence from the time of birth all the way through adulthood.
I am not married now, but I remember what it was like. My then-husband and I could not communicate. I would try to listen, and sometimes he would even listen. The problem was that he had his own ideas of what I should be saying, so I have to come up with other ways to say what I needed to so he could understand. Easier said than done. Unfortunately, our marriage was not salvageable, but that was a mental health issue. I did find that when I truly spent the time trying to explain things to him, sometimes I could get through to him. It’s all about learning the language your partner speaks.

After three failed marriages I finally found the man I am suppose to be with. We do a great deal of communicating even when it is difficult to share how we are really feeling.

Good communication is the only way our relationship has survived! Even if you are mad at each other, voice it! Can’t just sugar coat it all, then it will just backfire later!

It is so true. Good communication is one of the most difficult riddles to solve in a relationship. It takes so much work. It’s also really hard to find time for each other with the buys lifestyles we have these days.
