I feel the need to say one thing here regarding Lupus. While I never had a family member diagnosed with this, I saw my good friend in college suffer from this debilitating disease for years. It was only within the last year that her body succumbed to the effects of the disease, and she could no longer fight it. She passed away, and so I am well aware of how random this disease can be (there was no family history nor predispositions for this Lupus). She was always an inspiration to me because her attitude and tireless work amongst her church and family were unbelievable. I don’t believe she quit until the day she died. Even when she was unable to work, she sent money to me when I went on a missions trip. I look forward to seeing her in heaven. But that’s another story.
