Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Music is something that means so much to me. After all, I am a music teacher, and I have a vast repertoire of music from various styles. When I first saw this company, I wasn’t sure what to think. After all, you can stream music, download music, and do so much more. I could create my own CD, so why would I want to pay a company to do it for me?
My skepticism completely disappeared once I began the process. I decided to make a custom CDfor my daughter. They had every song possible in their music library. You could even listen to a clip from it to make sure you were doing it right. I believe I put twenty songs on my daughter’s CD, and every time I added a song, the price went up incrementally. I knew what the cost was up front.
Then I got to the fun part–creating the cover art. I have to admit that in the interest of time, I used one of their designs. I called it “Martha’s Mix,” and within a short time, the CD arrived. I gave it to her, and she was so excited! I also have access to the music online (though she can’t access it on her kindle fire yet). I plan to download the music and upload it to my amazon account so she can, but that hasn’t happened yet.
I only have one note of caution. I opened the CD with her favorite song Imagine Dragons. I had heard the song on the radio, and there was no problem with it. I had even looked the words up online. I didn’t realize that there were so many versions of the song. Normally, the song is listed as “explicit” if there are any inappropriate words. The version of this song that was the top one and did not have that warning on it was a remix with some inappropriate words. My daughter lived with it, but I felt really bad. I wish that it had stated that this an explicit version. Next time, I will do my homework so that doesn’t happen. I hope that the music library begins to consistently display those warnings so people will know. But I doubt that is the company’s fault. It just pays to know if there is more than one version.
Update: I now know that if the track says PA, it means Parental Advisory. Evidently I missed that, so do not make the same mistake I did.
So be sure to check out the company at the various links below. You won’t be sorry!
