Clones

Remember Dolly the Sheep?  As you’re probably aware, cloning is a controversial topic, and on this date in 1998, nineteen European nations voted to ban human cloning.  This ban was announced about the same time that genetic scientists suggested that it may be possible to replace human organs with cloned organs.  This could have opened up the door to growing human beings for the sole reason of harvesting their organs.  If you stop and think about that, you may realize, just like me that this is not only an ethical issue but a religious one as well.  I honestly don’t think God would allow something like this to happen.  He tends to give mankind free rein in some things, but I think that if technology ever did advance this far, He would intervene.  Interject if you wish, but that is just my opinion.

I think the ban on cloning was the right move for mankind to make, it would have opened the door to too many ethical issues.

I absolutely agree! Can you imagine? That would be so horrible! You don’t matter because we were just growing you for your organs! Wow! No thank you. God bless everyone!

I just think it’s weird that you can clone a sheep, a human or anything! It’s just kind of creepy!
