My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If this book had concluded about fifty pages before it did, you would presumably be reading a four-star review. I was immensely disappointed in this book until the tremendous turn it took towards the end of this Christian romance. The story itself is quite involving and written from several different perspectives. That is a substantial strength of this book. The reader is able to get inside the heads of the primary players in the book.

As to the Christian message, it is somewhat subdued but still strong. There is some very mild profanity, and you won’t find any detailed bedroom scenes. However, if you are like me, you will probably be concerned when the two main characters choose not to wait until they are married. But permit me to tell you something. That clever turn the book took towards the end will redeem this book from the proverbial gutter. The book decidedly accomplished its purpose of learning from mistakes and giving second chances.

I was most delighted with the interactions and often witty dialogue and fun the characters enjoyed. It seems very realistic, and it flows from the author’s pen. The Christian message is there, but it is not in your face at any time. Although I might have preferred a more vigorous message, it attains its purpose.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.
