Well, I finally got myself a Halloween costume.  I apologize for a somewhat dark photo.  My daughter took it, and I forgot to check it out.  I received this costume from BuyCostumes.com. It had been a long time since I dressed up for Halloween, and my daughter is the one who picked out my costume.  I did have to direct her to a degree because this site has everything!   She would have had me dressing as an animal or something really silly.  I was so grateful to happen upon this costume!

If you don’t recognize the character, be not dismayed.  It is from the very well-done, popular film Monsters U.  This is the prequel to the Pixar film Monsters Inc.  Normally, a child or a man might dress up as one of the monsters.  And this is certainly unique, in my opinion.  It is the Monsters University Sulley Deluxe Kit.  This is new to the shop this year, and I was quite pleased with the results.

As you can see in the featured picture above, the fully licensed costume comes with the hat, arm and leg warmers, and skirt.  This is a one size fits most, and basically it does fit.  The only place where it was snug was in the chest (actually, that was a surprise because  normally that is not the case).   I would  recommend putting a t-shirt and leggings with this for optimum comfort.  Then you won’t be concerned about the back of the skirt coming undone.   And you also won’t freeze (it is typically cool on Halloween in most of the country).  Of course, you can bare your legs if you wish, but I would rather not.

I am grateful that they added the leg and arm warmers.  I felt like I was much more decently covered, but that is just me.  Amazingly that hat fits my big head (that’s a miracle in itself), and although the tail tends to be a bit of a nuisance, once you get it in place, it tends to stay.

All things considered, I was pleased with this costume, and my daughter plans to wear it next year. Or since she has another costume party coming up, she may wear it this year!  We’ll  see what happens.  Although  the material’s quality is perhaps not the highest quality, costumes are not intended for durability.  Why spend a fortune on something you may never wear again?  Check them out now as they are running all sorts of specials!  Now is the time  to stock up!
