Yabbly is an online community of thoughtful people who help each other make great purchasing decisions everyday. They were finalists in SxSW 2013 in the social category and are a top 3 search result in “product reviews” on the iPhone app store. Now we all know how hard it is to get to the top 10 in the eyes of Apple. So that is pretty big news. Get the Yabbly App today. It’s free!
The Yabbly philosophy is that the best purchasing decisions are made through dialogue with actual people who have made similar decisions recently. They believe that one of the main frustrations about online shopping today is that averaging a bunch of reviews just doesn’t cut it, and you’re left buying a product and simply hoping for the best.
Breakdown on how Yabbly works and you will see why it works for you, you and yes, even you:
First of all, I do not have an iphone or an ipad or anything like that. Generally that means that I am not able to try something like this out for myself. I was very grateful to discover that I could go to their website and try this app out without having any Apple products. And indeed the community is incredibly active. I didn’t even have to sign up for an account to test drive the service. All these things make me feel very positive about this service.
Once I signed up, I discovered that one of the features of the service was to create a “Top Tens” list to guide others in their search and purchase of exceptional products. Their reasoning is that sharing this kind of list on facebook or twitter does not always bring the desired results. It is better to feature it on Yabbly because this is where people come for recommendations such as these. They will even help you compile one, and I figured I would give it a try.
I’m not going to share all the details of my Top Tens list, but I have created one on Yabbly. You can follow me here. However, I will share what ten items I have placed on that list.
Ready for my Top Tens list? I just compiled it, but here goes:
- Dell Inspiron Laptop (my long-lasting laptop where I do mostly everything)
- Nintendo Wii (originally bought for my daughter, but now I use it for my exercise regimen)
- Kindle (my go-to product for reading books)
- KitchenAid Mixer (for baking–essential)
- Samsung Sidekick Smartphone (for my life on-the-go)
- Dell Desktop (long-suffering desktop computer)
- Emeals (the only meal planner I need)
- WordPress (the best blogging platform out there)
- Toyota Corolla (my 2001 car that keeps lasting)
- Directv (my satellite television company)
I may change this order one of these days, but it was interesting to create a list like this. You can read more by checking out my profile in the link above.
