I would like to introduce you to a new series by Callie Grant: Knowing My God.  I had the privilege to read two books from this series.  Reviews follow.

Jesus Shows Me is the first book in the “Knowing My God” series, which teaches young children about God’s love by explaining selected scripture through colorful photographs and supportive text. Each page of this board book illustrates a segment of John 15:9-14 with a photo of an animal parent caring for its young, which exemplifies how God loves people.

Of the two books I have read so far in the series, this one has to be my favorite. After all, where else can you get such amazing pictures of animal parents paired with a beautiful passage from Scripture? This is one of those books that is meant to be shared with parent and child. I highly recommend that you get a physical copy of the book so you and your child can truly engage with the words and pictures. In fact, I believe this is a book series that can truly help your child establish a regular devotional time with the Lord. Introduce the Bible in a fun way to your children from an early age (toddler through kindergarten–target audience). Actually, I loved the pictures and would love to see them in brilliant, full-page color rather than on my little e-reader in black and white.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Jesus Invites Me is the second book in the “Knowing My God” series, and explains Matthew 11:28-30, in which Jesus calls people to learn from him and to follow him

This is absolutely beautifully written and illustrated book, and I couldn’t be happier with it. Its target age is certainly toddler through about kindergarten, but even I found myself enjoying it. This is one of those books that you want to sit down and enjoy with your little one. Don’t settle for an e-book (like I read) unless you have a full-color e-reader. This is a book that is meant to engage all of the senses while illustrating a beautiful passage of Scripture. Instill the love of the Word of God early in your children, and this book will certainly aid your endeavors.
