President Ronald Reagan is the first president I can actually recall running for office. I was in first grade, and I remember our class taking a vote, and Reagan didn’t win. I also remember the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan. But today’s feature is about probably one of the most charming First Ladies we have had in recent years–Nancy Reagan. On this date in 1921, she was born. That’s right–she’s 92! I was always impressed with her, and I remember being so shocked to discover that she was Reagan’s second wife. When my mom informed me that his first wife was actress Jane Wyman (when I was watching Pollyanna as a child), I was thoroughly shocked. Do you realize that Reagan is the only president we ever had who was divorced?

I never knew he was divorced how interesting. He is the first president I really remember much about.

  I only knew about his divorce when talking with my mom and watching a Jane Wyman movie. Otherwise, I don’t think I would have known either.

Thank you for today’s post I love Ronald Reagan, he was a good man. Love Nancy too. Yes I did know he had been married to Jane Wyman, I’m a huge fan of old movies.

  I have to say that history is very kind to Reagan. He was quite a fantastic leader, and I doubt we’ll ever have someone of his caliber again.
