Have you noticed that mustaches are all the rage with kids today?  My daughter has even bought into the fad.  I was so happy to be selected to review some mustache cookie cutters, and all they asked was that I provide my honest review which is what will be provided in this post.

I was so excited on the day the these mustache cookie cutters arrived on my doorstep.  Initially, even my daughter was excited.  After all, it meant that we could make sugar cookies and have some fun while doing it.  This cookie cutter set is made of one hundred percent stainless steel,  and it features three unique mustache designs.   While these vary in size to a degree, they measure around 4″W x 1.25-1.5″T.  This makes them the perfect size for making sugar cookies.

On the day I chose to try them out, my daughter decided to not help me.  She wanted the cookies, but she had “better” things to do.  It’s getting close to the summer, so she sometimes gets in these moods.  I made up my sugar cookie dough (it came from a box), and I began to roll it out.  When I picked up the cookies, I was amazed at two things.  First of all, they were smaller than I thought they would be.  It’s easy to look at the size, but once you take them out of the container, they look smaller than when inside the container.  But that’s not a bad thing–it’s a good thing!  It meant I could make the cookies thicker.  It also meant that I could eat one!

The other thing that was nice is that these cookie cutters were “open” in style.  In other words, they are not like the detailed metal or plastic cookie cutters that have all the details that are notorious for sticking to the dough (or vice versa).  As much fun as those kinds of cookie cutters are, these are much preferred in my book.  It was as simple as could be to cut out these mustache shapes.  The hardest thing was trying to keep the shape from the container to the pan.

I did not take the time to decorate these cookies, but you can see how good they look.  Sometimes the heat caused them to lose their shape, but for the most part, they did pretty well.  This is a cookie cutter that is versatile, fun, and easy.  I would highly recommend them!
