I am always pleased to get a chance to work with companies that offer quality items for children, and that is why I jumped at the chance to review the Berenstain Bears Golden DVD/Plush Gift Set.  It is a limited edition, and they were willing to offer me both the brother and sister edition in exchange for my honest review.  Please read what I thought about these products below.

Aren’t they absolutely the sweetest things?  I think so.  I didn’t grow up with Berenstain Bears, but my daughter did.  We used to turn on PBS, and we would watch these stories come alive.  I actually began to enjoy them like I never did when I was a kid.  And indeed, the Berenstain Bears have been around for quite some time–fifty years, to be exact.  They still teach good morals and values–something that is sorely lacking in so much of children’s entertainment today.

Kaboom! Entertainment has given us these delightful items.  In honor of their fiftieth anniversary of the Berenstain Bears, they have released a DVD/plush gift set.  They include a full-length DVD and a bear!  When they arrived in the mail, I was so excited that I almost wanted to give them to my 10-year-old daughter instead of our friend who has a 3-year-old.  Yes, I could have kept them, but I knew the boy I was giving them to would enjoy them more than she would.  And since his mom was getting ready to have a baby, I knew this would be the perfect thing to keep him occupied and make him feel special.

I was looking around at where you can buy these, and the price has gone down at Walmart!  From what I can tell, they used to cost more than twenty dollars, but now you can pick them at your local store for $16.97–you may have to order them online and have them shipped to the store (I have done that before, and it is amazing!).  Check out the Brother and Sister edition.  You can find this elsewhere, but this is still the best price you can get.  This is also limited edition, so you may want to get it before it is gone!

How did my friend’s son enjoy it?  Well, his grandmother was so excited to give it to him, and although I didn’t get a chance to give it to him personally, I can only imagine his excitement when he got both of these.  The only problem is that he may have to fight his little brother for these DVD’s and plush toys in a year or so.  In fact, I bet the fight will be on for the plush toys, but till then, he can enjoy them!  He loves these kinds of DVD’s, and his mom is so excited every time I give her something for them to review.  Since she just had her baby, I have not officially heard how he liked them, but I know that his grandmother assured me he loved them!

I was sent both products in exchange for my honest review.  I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.
