Being a mother myself who remembers how fragile and strong my daughter was as a newborn, I am so pleased to be a part of this fantastic campaign! This campaign is something in which everyone on twitter can participate, and it can make a world of difference for the youngest ones in this world of ours–newborns.
The Gates Foundation is spreading newborn health tweets from now through about mid-April. Why? The Global Newborn Health Conference will be held in South Africa from April 15-18. And Dr. Gary Darmstadt, Director of Family Health for the Gates Foundation, wants to make sure that the word gets out about keeping newborns healthy.
